We are teaming with a well known commercial real estate owner,  investment, management, and development firm based in San Jose. This owner focuses on West Coast markets where innovation and collaboration drive demand for creative workplace environments.

    The Project Manager will have a unique opportunity to be a part of a small team who oversees Capital Improvement, Tenant Improvement and Market Ready projects throughout our property portfolio with particular focus on properties in the San Francisco Bay Area.  This is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to join an integrated group that combines private equity real estate investments with property operations and management.  The project team oversees all aspects of ownership-side project supervision for Capital Improvement, Tenant Improvement, Real Estate Development and Market Ready projects including hiring design consultants and contractors, working with the leasing team, brokers and tenants and working closely with property management among others.

    Required Qualifications :

    Ideal Project Manager candidates will possess: 


    -Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management.  

    -5-10 years of experience working for a general contractor or construction manager on commercial construction projects in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer capacity.  

    -Knowledge and experience in running tenant improvement, capital improvement and market ready projects in commercial office buildings is preferred.  

    -Knowledge of project systems, processes, and controls including submittals, RFIs, scheduling, change orders, and contract management.  

    -Prior field experience is required.  

    -Candidates must have experience reading drawings, reviewing project schedules, assisting with contracts, running project meetings, negotiating with subcontractors, completing punch lists and closing out projects.  

    -Ability to prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation to include; correspondence, meeting notes, subcontractor lists, contracts, and various administration/accounting procedures. -Experience reviewing architect and engineer contracts a plus.  

    -Strong organization, communication, writing and computer skills are essential. 

    -Preferred experience with MS Project, Procore and MS Office Suite.
